Job Description

A Store Incharge oversees the daily operations, inventory, and material flow of a warehouse, industrial store, or retail facility. [1, 2]



1. Material Receiving and Inspection

  • Check incoming goods: Receive materials against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Challans
  • Verify quality and quantity: Inspect items for physical damage, count accuracy, and basic specifications. Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) if technical clearance is needed.
  • Handle discrepancies: Document and report shortages, rejections, or damaged goods immediately.
  • Log entries: Record inward stock into registers, bin cards, or ERP systems like Tally/SAP (creating Goods Receipt Notes - GRN)
