Mechanical Designer

Key Responsibilities & Skills Required:

3D CAD product and component designing.

Design of mechanical mechanisms, linkages, sliders, brackets and moving assemblies.

Motor and gearbox integration and mounting design.

Design PCB enclosures, electronic boxes, display holders and product housings.

Knowledge of mechanical geometry, kinematics and motion analysis.

Basic calculations for torque, force, load, speed and mechanical advantage.

Sheet-metal design, bending, laser cutting, welding and fabrication knowledge.

Design parts suitable for CNC machining and 3D printing.

Create 2D manufacturing drawings, tolerances and GD&T.

Material selection and DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly).

Prepare assembly drawings and BOM.

Prototype development, testing and design modifications.

Coordinate with fabrication, machining and manufacturing vendors.

Software:

Strong knowledge of SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Creo / CATIA. SolidWorks would be preferred.

Preferred Candidate:

Someone with hands-on experience in electromechanical products, furniture mechanisms, automotive mechanisms, industrial machinery, or consumer-product development.

Important: We need an engineering/product designer, not only a 3D visualization or rendering designer. The candidate should be capable of taking a concept through 3D design → mechanism development → motion validation → prototype → manufacturing drawings → final production.
