Machine Operator

Job Overview

As a Machinery Operator for Shoko, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining food manufacturing machinery (such as mixing, slitting, cutting, and packaging machines). You will ensure our protein bars and chikkis are produced according to high-quality standards while proactively managing machine cleaning and minor technical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation

• Set up and calibrate production machinery according to product specifications (protein bars vs. chikkis).
• Feed raw materials into semi-automated or automated mixing and molding machines.
• Monitor equipment operations to ensure consistent texture, weight, and cutting of the final products.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubrication, part adjustments, and deep cleaning to meet food safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and fix minor mechanical or electrical errors during the production shift.
• Report complex machinery issues to senior technicians or management quickly to prevent production delays.

3. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Inspect finished bar and chikki batches for defects or sizing inconsistencies.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene (GMP), and workplace safety regulations.
• Maintain simple logs of daily production quantities, raw material usage, and machine maintenance records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing plant, preferably in the food processing, confectionery, or bakery sectors.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in basic machinery repair and maintenance.
• Education: High school diploma, ITI certification, or a technical diploma in mechanical/electrical trades is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift production batches safely.
• Traits: Attention to detail, commitment to hygiene, and a strong sense of teamwork.
