Job Description
Responsibilites:
- Wash, peel, cut, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as instructed by the chefs.
- Help with daily mise en place and keep ingredients ready before service.
- Receive, check, and store raw materials properly in the store, fridge, and freezer.
- Follow the FIFO method, and label and date all stored items.
- Clean and sanitise the kitchen, work counters, floors, and equipment, following FSSAI hygiene rules.
- Wash utensils, vessels, and kitchen tools, and keep them in their proper place.
- Carry ingredients, prepared items, and supplies between the store, kitchen, and service area.
- Assist the cooks during peak hours with simple tasks such as basic cooking prep, plating support, and packing.
- Segregate and dispose of waste properly, and help minimise wastage.
- Follow instructions from the Chef and Commi, and maintain personal hygiene, safety, and discipline in the kitchen.
