Member Coordinator – Gym: Role & Responsibilities*

*Core Role:*  

Be the main point of contact between members and gym management. Your job is to ensure members feel welcomed, supported, and retained.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. *Member Onboarding & Welcome*  

  - Greet all new walk-ins and members with a warm, professional attitude  

  - Handle new member sign-ups, paperwork, and gym tours  

  - Explain membership plans, facilities, timings, and gym rules  

  - Issue access cards, locker keys, and welcome kits

2. *Member Engagement & Retention*  

  - Build rapport with existing members — remember names, fitness goals  

  - Follow up with inactive members via call/WhatsApp to encourage return  

  - Gather feedback regularly and address concerns promptly  

  - Promote gym events, challenges, group classes, and PT sessions

3. *Front Desk & Admin Operations*  

  - Manage check-ins/outs and maintain attendance records  

  - Handle member queries, complaints, and escalate issues to manager  

  - Process renewals, upgrades, freezes, and cancellations  

  - Collect payments and maintain billing records accurately  

  - Maintain cleanliness and presentation of reception area

4. *Sales Support*  

  - Convert walk-in enquiries into memberships with effective follow-ups  

  - Explain offers, discounts, and corporate tie-ups to prospects  

  - Maintain enquiry register and track conversion rates  

  - Coordinate with trainers for trial sessions for prospects

5. *Coordination & Reporting*  

  - Coordinate with trainers, housekeeping, and maintenance teams  

  - Update management on daily footfall, sales, and member feedback  

  - Ensure notice boards, brochures, and price lists are up to date  

  - Assist in organizing events, workshops, and member appreciation days
