Database Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, clean, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Import and manage datasets in IBM SPSS Statistics.
• Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analysis using SPSS.
• Conduct frequency analysis, cross-tabulation, correlation, regression, ANOVA, t-tests, chi-square tests, and other appropriate statistical techniques.
• Perform data transformation, recoding, variable creation, and data screening in SPSS.
• Identify missing values, outliers, inconsistencies, and data-quality issues.
• Develop statistical models based on project and business requirements.
• Interpret statistical results and convert findings into meaningful business/research insights.
• Prepare tables, charts, statistical summaries, and analytical reports.
• Create and maintain SPSS syntax for repeatable and automated analysis.
• Validate analytical results and ensure data accuracy.
• Work with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver appropriate outputs.
• Maintain proper documentation of datasets, methodologies, analysis procedures, and results.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

• hands-on knowledge of IBM SPSS Statistics.
• Good understanding of statistics and research methodology.
• Proficiency in data cleaning, data transformation, and statistical analysis.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases is an advantage.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to interpret statistical outputs and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred Skills with SPSS Modeler.
• Knowledge of Python or R for statistical/data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of survey data analysis and questionnaire design.
• Experience with large datasets and database management.
• Understanding of predictive analytics and statistical modeling.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.

ExperienceExperience in data analysis, statistical research, market research, healthcare research, social research, academic research, or business analytics using IBM SPSS is preferred.
