Position: Commis 1 – Continental
Department: Food Production / Continental Kitchen
Reports To: CDP / Sous Chef
Job Summary
The Commis 1 is responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of Continental cuisine while taking ownership of assigned preparation duties. The role requires good technical cooking skills, proper mise en place, consistency, hygiene, and the ability to support smooth kitchen operations during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Continental dishes according to standard recipes and specifications.
- Handle assigned kitchen sections and ensure all mise en place is completed on time.
- Prepare sauces, soups, salads, pasta, vegetables, appetizers, and other Continental preparations.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, texture, and presentation.
