Assistant Manager -Supply Chain/Procurement

**Prior work experience in the food industry is mandatory**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Procurement and P2P Process

• Manage the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, from purchase orders to invoice processing and payment coordination.
• Understand internal requirements and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Collect quotations, prepare price comparisons, and negotiate competitive rates with vendors.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.

2. Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
• Coordinate purchase orders, bill submissions, payment follow-ups, and vendor reconciliations.
• Negotiate pricing, long-term agreements, and contract terms.
• Coordinate with Stores and Finance teams to ensure timely payments and resolve vendor-related issues.

3. Inventory Management

• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure product availability.
• Plan inventory based on demand, consumption, and business requirements.
• Identify slow-moving, excess, and critical stock to reduce wastage and inventory costs.
• Ensure materials are available on time and stock records are maintained accurately.

4. Warehousing and Logistics

• Manage inward material receipts, verification, storage, and related documentation.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, packing, and dispatch of materials.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and transportation arrangements.
• Optimise vehicle utilisation and logistics costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
• Follow warehouse safety standards and operational procedures.

5. MIS and Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly supply chain reports for management review.
• Track procurement costs, inventory levels, vendor performance, and delivery timelines.
• Analyse data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
• Maintain reports and records using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

6. System and Process Management

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, stock movements, goods receipts, and invoices in ERP or other business systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Stores, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain activities.
• Identify and resolve supply chain delays, shortages, and other operational issues promptly.
