Screen Printing Operator

Job Summary

The Screen Printing Operator is responsible for operating screen printing machines and equipment to print designs, logos, graphics, and patterns accurately on garments, fabrics, or other materials while maintaining required quality and production standards.

• Key Responsibilities Operate manual, semi-automatic, or automatic screen printing machines.
• Prepare screens, stencils, inks, squeegees, and printing materials.
• Set up machines according to approved samples, artwork, and production specifications.
• Check screen alignment, registration, ink consistency, and print positioning.
• Mix and prepare inks as per required colour and shade specifications.
• Conduct trial prints and make necessary adjustments before bulk production.
• Monitor printing during production to maintain consistent quality.
• Inspect printed garments/materials for defects such as misalignment, smudging, uneven printing, colour variation, and poor coverage.
• Maintain production records and report output, defects, and machine issues.
• Clean screens, squeegees, machines, and work areas after production.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report major breakdowns to the maintenance team.
• Follow production schedules, quality standards, safety procedures, and housekeeping requirements.
• Minimize ink, fabric, and other material wastage.
• Coordinate with supervisors, quality personnel, and other production teams.
