Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Manager to lead enterprise Backup and Storage Operations across Commvault, Nasuni, and Tintri platforms. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with leadership capabilities to manage service delivery, operational governance, capacity planning, disaster recovery, automation initiatives, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement in a large-scale enterprise environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, data protection compliance, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Operations Management
- Lead end-to-end Backup and Storage operations supporting global enterprise environments.
- Manage daily operations across Commvault, Nasuni, and Tintri platforms while ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
- Drive operational governance, service reviews, risk management, and escalation management.
- Own incident, problem, change, and service request management processes.
- Provide leadership during critical incidents, major outages, DR events, and executive escalations.
- Ensure operational stability and continuous service availability.
Commvault Backup Management
- Provide strategic oversight of enterprise backup infrastructure.
- Govern backup policies, retention policies, compliance requirements, and recovery objectives.
- Ensure backup success rates, restore readiness, and disaster recovery compliance.
- Lead backup modernization, upgrades, platform optimization, and cloud integration initiatives.
- Review backup health, utilization reports, performance metrics, and capacity forecasts. Nasuni Storage Management
- Manage enterprise file storage services based on Nasuni architecture.
- Oversee capacity planning, performance optimization, and storage growth forecasting.
- Ensure availability and performance of NFS and CIFS-based file services.
- Drive governance around storage consumption, data lifecycle management, and operational reporting.
- Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for storage-related projects
Tintri Storage Management
- Lead administration and governance of Tintri VMstore environments.
- Ensure optimal storage utilization supporting VMware-based workloads.
- Oversee storage provisioning, snapshot management, and performance optimization.
- Drive storage capacity planning and technology refresh initiatives.
- Review platform health reports and operational metrics regularly
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Own Backup and Storage disaster recovery strategy.
- Govern DR testing, recovery exercises, failover, and failback activities.
- Ensure adherence to RPO and RTO commitments.
- Establish recovery procedures and validation standards.
- Drive resiliency improvements across the infrastructure landscape
People & Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Backup and Storage Engineers.
- Manage resource planning, onboarding, capability development, and performance coaching.
- Coordinate with OEM vendors, partners, and third-party support teams.
- Conduct technical reviews, knowledge transfer sessions, and operational governance meetings.
- Drive automation, innovation, and process improvement initiatives across the team.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, regulatory, and data protection requirements.
- Drive operational reporting, executive dashboards, and management reviews.
- Lead audit responses, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.
- Establish standardized SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation.

Required Technical Skills
- Expert-level administration of Commvault Backup Solutions.
- Strong experience with Nasuni File Storage Administration.
- Hands-on experience managing Tintri Storage Platforms.
- Strong knowledge of VMware, virtualization, disaster recovery, and storage technologies.
- Experience with enterprise backup architecture, data protection, and recovery strategies.
- Understanding of NAS, SAN, CIFS, NFS, storage replication, and capacity management.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Strong ITIL Service Management knowledge.

- ITIL Foundation / ITIL Managing Professional
- Azure Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Commvault Backup Administration.
- Strong understanding of backup and recovery processes within enterprise environments.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting backup infrastructure and related software.
- Ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues.
- Familiarity with storage systems and data protection strategies.
- Skilled in coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure effective problem resolution.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in Commvault Backup Administration.
- This position is based at our PDC3B - SEZ location.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree (Preferred).
