Production Engineer 18k Salary

The Electronics Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and quality control of electronic products. The candidate should have practical knowledge of electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, DC power supplies, battery management systems, wiring, and electronic testing equipment.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of ensuring that products meet the required quality and performance standards before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities1. Electronics Production & Assembly

• Manage day-to-day production and assembly of electronic products, including Mini UPS, router UPS, AirFiber UPS, and battery backup systems.
• Supervise PCB assembly, component mounting, soldering, wiring, connector installation, and final product assembly.
• Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality.
• Coordinate with production staff and technicians to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Maintain proper production records, material usage, and finished goods documentation.

2. Testing & Quality Control

• Perform functional testing of electronic products before dispatch.
• Test voltage, current, power output, charging performance, and battery backup time.
• Inspect PCB assemblies, connectors, wiring, solder joints, and other electronic components.
• Identify manufacturing defects and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Develop and maintain product testing procedures and quality checklists.

3. Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose and resolve electronic circuit, PCB, power supply, charging, and output-related issues.
• Troubleshoot faulty units and identify root causes of product failures.
• Handle repair, rework, and retesting of defective products.
• Analyze customer-returned and warranty products to identify recurring technical issues.
• Coordinate with the technical team to improve product reliability.

4. Battery & Power Electronics

• Understand lithium battery systems, battery packs, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Perform battery voltage, charging, discharging, and backup performance tests using approved procedures.
• Verify the functionality of charging circuits, DC-DC converters, adapters, and protection circuits.
• Follow safety procedures while handling lithium batteries and electronic power systems.

5. Production Planning & Process Improvement

• Monitor production output, rejection rates, and rework requirements.
• Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of testing equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Help standardize assembly methods and testing procedures.
• Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams regarding component requirements and shortages.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production reports, quality inspection records, and testing logs.
• Document product failures, repair details, and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Track production efficiency, defects, and rejection rates.
• Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, soldering, and electronic component identification.
• Experience using a digital multimeter, DC power supply, electronic load, and other testing equipment.
• Understanding of voltage, current, power ratings, polarity, and DC power systems.
• Basic knowledge of battery charging circuits, lithium battery packs, and BMS.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic products and identify hardware faults.
• Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work hands-on in an electronics production environment.
• Preferred ExperienceExperience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, testing, or repair.
• Familiarity with Mini UPS, router UPS, power backup devices, adapters, and DC-DC converters.
• Knowledge of PCB testing, soldering and desoldering, and component-level troubleshooting.
• Experience in production quality control and failure analysis.
• Knowledge of production planning, inventory coordination, and process improvement.
