Job OverviewWe are looking for a proactive and independent professional responsible for sourcing the best and most competitive rates for goods and services from domestic and international markets.

• Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently research and identify manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers, exporters and service providers across India and international markets.
• Source products such as fruits and vegetables, FMCG, household goods and other general trading items.
• Find competitive rates for air cargo, freight, transportation, logistics, warehousing and other business services.
• Use Google, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Alibaba, LinkedIn, B2B portals and other online resources to discover new suppliers.
• Contact suppliers directly, arrange meetings, obtain quotations and negotiate the best commercial rates.
• Compare prices, quality, freight, taxes, delivery timelines, payment terms and other costs before recommending a supplier.
• Develop and maintain a database of verified suppliers and alternative vendors.
• Identify new products, markets and cost-saving opportunities to improve company profitability.
• Prepare quotation comparison sheets, sourcing reports and cost-saving analysis.

Essential RequirementThe candidate must be capable of independently researching, learning and executing sourcing activities. Management will communicate the requirement and expected outcome; the candidate must independently determine where to find suppliers, how to research the market, how to negotiate and how to identify the best commercial opportunity.

Candidates must be proactive problem-solvers who can learn unfamiliar products and services through online research and industry interactions without requiring step-by-step training.

• Knowledge of domestic and international sourcing.
• Proficiency in Excel and quotation comparison.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Performance ExpectationsPerformance will be evaluated based on supplier development, competitive rates obtained, verified cost savings, quality of research, successful sourcing and the ability to work independently.
