JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Solar Consultant

Department: Field Sales

Reporting To: Regional Manager

Location :- Vizianagaram


Role Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Solar Consultant / Field Sales Executive who will act as both a revenue owner and ecosystem builder. This role goes beyond traditional sales and involves:

  • Onboarding and activating solar vendors and channel partners
  • Driving revenue through lead generation and conversion
  • Managing the end-to-end customer journey, from lead generation to installation

You will not only be responsible for selling solar solutions but also for building and strengthening the regional supply and demand ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor & Channel Partner Onboarding

  • Identify and onboard:
  • Local solar vendors (EPC partners)
  • Channel partners such as electricians, contractors, and dealers
  • Build and maintain a strong regional partner network
  • Train partners on:
  • Product offerings
  • PM Surya Ghar Yojana (PMSGY) subsidy process
  • Platform usage and processes

2. Revenue Generation (Core Responsibility)

  • Own and achieve monthly revenue targets
  • Convert leads into successful sales through:
  • Effective customer engagement and pitching
  • Pricing discussions and negotiations
  • Building trust and long-term relationships
  • Ensure high lead-to-conversion efficiency

3. Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
  • Vendors
  • Channel partners
  • Drive partner engagement and retention
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders

4. Lead Generation & Pipeline Management

  • Generate leads through:
  • Field activities
  • Partner referrals
  • Local networking and market outreach
  • Maintain a sales pipeline of at least 23 times the monthly target
  • Ensure a consistent flow of qualified leads

5. Site Visits & Customer Consultation

  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments
  • Educate customers on:
  • Solar energy solutions
  • Cost savings and ROI
  • Government subsidy programs (PMSGY)
  • Provide customized solar proposals based on customer requirements

6. Lead Conversion & Project Execution

  • Drive the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for:
  • Installation execution
  • Documentation and approvals
  • Ensure smooth project execution and faster revenue realization

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 0 to 5 years of experience in:
  • Field Sales
  • B2B Sales
  • Channel Sales
  • Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, or Electrical Industry is preferred
  • Strong local market network will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field activities and customer meetings
