Kitchen Steward

The Kitchen Steward supports back-of-house kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and work areas, ensuring the kitchen meets the hygiene and food-safety standards expected of a 5-star hospitality establishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash, sanitise, and store all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and cooking equipment as per hotel hygiene standards.

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, pot-wash stations, and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, exhaust hoods, drains, and waste disposal areas on a scheduled basis.

• Segregate and dispose of kitchen waste in line with hotel and municipal/FSSAI hygiene protocols.

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic material handling, stock movement, and mise-en-place support as required.

• Maintain inventory and safe storage of kitchen equipment; report breakage, shortages, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

• Follow all HACCP, food-safety, and personal hygiene protocols mandated by the client hotel.

• Wear prescribed uniform, footwear, and PPE at all times while on duty.

• Support periodic deep-cleaning drives and pest-control preparedness as scheduled by the kitchen management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Eligibility — Age: 18–35 years.

• Education — Minimum Class 8 pass; Class 10 pass preferred.

• Experience — Freshers may apply; 6 months–2 years of stewarding/housekeeping experience in hospitality preferred.

• Physical Fitness — Able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Availability — Willing to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Location — Candidates based in or willing to relocate to Visakhapatnam preferred; local hires given priority.

• Language — Basic spoken Telugu/Hindi; working knowledge of English an advantage.

• Attributes — Punctuality, hygiene consciousness, teamwork, and willingness to follow instructions.

COMPENSATION & STATUTORY COMPLIANCE

• Fixed monthly in-hand salary of ₹12,000–₹13,000, payable through bank transfer as per Florence Manpower payroll cycle.

• ESI and EPF contributions deducted and deposited as per applicable statutory wage ceilings and rates in force.

• Deployed candidates remain on the payroll of Florence Manpower Services Pvt. Ltd. and are governed by the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act and applicable Shops & Establishments provisions for the deployment state.

• Statutory registers, wage records, and compliance filings to be maintained by Florence Manpower as the principal employer of record for deployed staff.

SOURCING & SELECTION PROCESS

• Local sourcing through Florence Manpower's Vizag recruitment channels, walk-ins, and referral network.

• Preliminary screening for age, education, physical fitness, and background verification.

• Trade/skill assessment and hygiene briefing prior to client-side interview.

• Final selection and grooming/uniform check as per client hotel's standard, followed by onboarding and deployment.
