Production Supervisor

Ltd. is engaged in the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning of industrial ultrasonic cleaning systems, resonators, and ultrasonic technology-based equipment. We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day shop-floor activities and ensure timely and quality-oriented production.

Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising production activities on the shop floor, coordinating manpower and materials, monitoring production schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards, and achieving production targets within the planned timelines.

The candidate should have good knowledge of fabrication, assembly, mechanical/electrical work, production processes, and shop-floor management.

·        Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and monitor daily production activities as per the approved production plan.

·        Allocate work to operators, technicians, fabricators, and helpers based on production requirements.

·        Ensure production targets are achieved within the scheduled timelines.

·        Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Projects, and Maintenance teams for smooth production.

·        Read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and production documents.

·        Monitor fabrication, machining, assembly

·        Ensure availability of required raw materials, components, tools, consumables, and manpower.

·        Follow up with Stores/Purchase for material shortages and coordinate for timely availability.

·        Monitor work progress and report delays, breakdowns, shortages, or technical issues to the Production Manager.

·        Ensure proper utilisation of manpower, machines, tools, and other resources.

·        Conduct regular shop-floor inspections and ensure proper housekeeping and workplace discipline.

·        Ensure compliance with quality requirements and approved specifications.

·        Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action in coordination with the concerned departments.

·        Maintain production records, daily production reports, job cards, and related documentation.

·        Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.

·        Monitor proper use of PPE and ensure safe working practices on the shop floor.

·        Train, guide, and supervise production workers as required.

·        Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to company rules and work timings.

·        Support continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, waste reduction, and 5S/Kaizen activities.

·        Assist in dispatch readiness and ensure completed machines/components are properly prepared for inspection and dispatch.

·        Perform any other production-related responsibilities assigned by Management.

·        Required Skills & CompetenciesGood knowledge of production and shop-floor operations.

·        Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.

·        Knowledge of fabrication, mechanical assembly.

·        Good manpower handling and team supervision skills.

·        Ability to plan and prioritise daily production activities.

·        Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.

·        Good coordination and communication skills.

·        Basic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and production reporting.

·        Ability to work under production deadlines and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.

Educational QualificationDiploma / ITI / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, or a related technical field.

Experience 3–7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, machinery, industrial equipment, or similar environment.

Candidates with experience in industrial machinery manufacturing, ultrasonic equipment, fabrication, machine assembly, or project-based manufacturing will be preferred.

·        May require extended working hours depending on production requirements and project deadlines.

·        Close coordination with production, engineering, quality, stores, purchase, and project teams.

Salary: As per experience and company standards.
