Design Engineer

Ladder Logix is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can turn ideas and concepts into practical machine designs and mechanical solutions for industrial automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, machines and assemblies using SolidWorks and CAD software.
• Design and develop machine structures, mechanisms, fixtures and mechanical assemblies as per project requirements.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Create and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and other technical documentation.
• Select suitable mechanical components, materials and standard parts based on application requirements.
• Support the production and fabrication team during manufacturing and machine assembly.
• Check designs for accuracy, functionality, safety and ease of manufacturing.
• Identify design issues and make necessary design modifications and improvements.
• Coordinate with Electrical, PLC, Production and Project teams for smooth project execution.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of machines and provide design-related support.
• Continuously look for ways to make machine designs simpler, better and more cost-effective.

What We’re Looking For:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software.
• Good understanding of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical components, machine design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of BOM preparation and fabrication drawings.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve design skills.
• Experience in Industrial Automation, Machine Design or Manufacturing will be an advantage.
