Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Approach, greet, and assist customers in the showroom or on the lot, actively listening to determine their transportation needs, budget, and lifestyle. [1]
  • Product Demonstration: Explain vehicle features, specifications, warranties, and benefits. Accompany customers on test drives to showcase vehicle performance and handling. [1, 2]
  • Negotiation & Closing: Overcome objections, negotiate pricing, and present financing or leasing options that fit the customer's budget. [1, 2]
  • Sales Administration: Process sales documentation accurately, coordinate with the finance and insurance (F&I) departments, and ensure all deals comply with dealership policies. [1, 2]
  • Lead Management: Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to log client details, manage lead pipelines, and follow up with potential buyers. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Inventory & Showroom Upkeep: Monitor and assist with showroom displays, promotional activities, and general lot presentation. [1, 2, 3]



Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in motor vehicle sales or a related retail and customer service environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive mechanics, pricing, market trends, and financing processes. [1, 2]



Performance Metrics

  • Sales Volume: Meeting or exceeding assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI): Maintaining high customer satisfaction scores and generating positive reviews.
  • Lead Conversion: Successfully turning showroom walk-ins and digital leads into closed sales
