AC Technician – Job Description

Job Title: AC Technician / HVAC Technician

Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Employment: Full-Time

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on skill and experience

Experience: Freshers & Experienced candidates can apply

Qualification:10, 12th, ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical, or equivalent preferred.

• Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, service and maintain Split AC, Window AC, Cassette AC and other air-conditioning systems.
• Diagnose and repair AC electrical and mechanical problems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Check refrigerant pressure, leakage and cooling performance.
• Carry out gas charging, recovery and leak testing where required.
• Clean and maintain filters, coils, blower, condenser and evaporator units.
• Troubleshoot compressors, motors, capacitors, thermostats, PCB/control systems and electrical connections.
• Identify abnormal noise, vibration, temperature and cooling problems.
• Replace defective components and carry out repairs.
• Handle AC installation, dismantling and shifting.
• Maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Follow electrical, refrigerant-handling and workplace safety procedures.
• Complete service reports after each job.
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain the work completed.

For candidates with higher-level HVAC experience, responsibilities can also include VRF/VRV, package AC, AHU/FCU and chilled-water systems.

Candidate RequirementsFreshers:

• Basic understanding of refrigeration/AC systems.
• ITI or relevant technical qualification preferred.
• Willingness to learn field servicing.
• Good attitude and punctuality.
• Physically capable of field work.

Experienced Technicians:

• Hands-on AC installation and servicing experience.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to independently handle customer service calls.
• Experience with inverter AC/VRF systems is an advantage.
