Job Title: CNC Turning Programmer / CAM Software Expert

Location: SIDCO, Kakkalur Industrial Estate, Thiruvallur

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced CNC Turning Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CAM programming, CNC Turning machine operations, and precision machining. Experience in multi-axis turning and live tooling will be an added advantage.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCAM ProgrammingCreate and optimize CNC Turning programs using Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM, or Powermill.
• G-code & M-code DevelopmentWrite, edit, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code for CNC Turning machines.
• Tool Path OptimizationDevelop efficient turning tool paths to reduce cycle time while maintaining accuracy and surface finish.
• Machine Setup & OperationSupport operators in machine setup, tool offset setting, chuck alignment, and job changeover.
• Drawing & GD&T InterpretationRead and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Tool & Insert SelectionSelect suitable cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds for different materials and operations.
• Quality AssuranceInspect machined components using micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Production & Tool Life MonitoringMonitor tool wear, maintain production records, and improve machining efficiency.
• Preferred QualificationsDiploma / ITI in Mechanical or Production Engineering
• Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM, or Powermill
• Strong knowledge of CNC Turning operations and G-code / M-code
• Experience in CNC Turning programming and setup
• 6 months –5 years of hands-on experience in CNC Turning machines
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments
