Account Executive (Accounting)

• Marketplace Reconciliation: Reconcile daily and monthly sales, returns, refunds, and lump-sum settlements from platforms like Flipkart, Myntra etc
• Fee & Commission Verification: Audit and verify marketplace commissions, payment gateway fees, and shipping charges to prevent revenue leakage.
• Inventory & COGS Tracking: Monitor inventory levels in transit and in warehouses, reconcile stock discrepancies, and track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accurately.
• Statutory Compliance: Manage tax filings, including GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and TDS. Ensure accurate input tax credit claims and maintain audit documentation.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports on a periodic basis.
• Dispute Management: Identify and resolve discrepancies, chargebacks, and payment disputes with platform account managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred); CA/CPA is a plus.
• Experience: 2+ to 5+ years of hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience, specifically in the e-commerce or retail industry.
• Tax Knowledge: Strong, practical knowledge of regional taxation (GST, TDS) and e-commerce settlement structures.
• Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; hands-on experience with accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail regarding data.
