Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities: Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, hedges, shrubs, and trees within the WTP premises.
  • Water plants, lawns, and landscaped areas as per the prescribed schedule.
  • Plant seasonal flowers, ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees to enhance the appearance of the premises.
  • Trim, prune, and shape trees, hedges, and bushes to maintain healthy growth.
  • Remove weeds, dry leaves, dead plants, and unwanted vegetation from all landscaped areas.
  • Apply fertilisers, manure, pesticides, and insecticides safely as directed to maintain plant health.
  • Mow lawns and keep grass at the appropriate height.
  • Maintain irrigation systems, hoses, sprinklers, and watering equipment in proper working condition.
  • Ensure pathways, green belts, and landscaped areas remain neat, clean, and free from debris.
  • Dispose of garden waste in accordance with plant and environmental guidelines.
  • Report any plant diseases, pest infestations, damaged trees, or irrigation issues to the Site In-Charge.
  • Maintain all gardening tools and equipment in good condition and report any damage or replacement requirements.
  • Assist in plantation drives, landscaping projects, and beautification initiatives undertaken by the company.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing gardening activities.
  • Carry out any other horticulture or landscaping-related duties assigned by the Plant Manager or Site In-Charge.
