Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:1. Hardware Support:Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues and perform repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain inventory and records of IT hardware assets.
  • Ensure timely upgrades and servicing of hardware equipment.
  • 2. Network Administration:Set up and manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN networks.
  • Monitor network performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (internet, routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Configure and manage network devices like routers, modems, access points, and switches.
  • 3. System Support & Maintenance:Provide technical support to end-users for system and network issues.
  • Install and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery.
  • Implement antivirus, security patches, and updates.
  • 4. Documentation & Reporting:Maintain logs of hardware maintenance and network issues.
  • Prepare reports on system and network performance.
  • Document network layouts and configuration changes.
  • Required Skills:Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware repair and upgrades.
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS installation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Qualifications:Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
  • Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Network+ are preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in IT support or networking (for junior roles).
