Production Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our sheet metal fabrication floor. You will own daily production planning, quality, team management, and on-time customer delivery across laser cutting, press brakes, welding, and finishing operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily/weekly production schedules across all shop floor processes
• Monitor WIP and ensure smooth flow with no stoppages due to material or machine issues
• Ensure parts meet customer quality specs; lead FAI, rework reduction, and rejection control
• Maintain APQP documents — PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans
• Lead and supervise a team of 40–50 operators and fabricators across shifts
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure on-time delivery to customers including Medha, Havells, and others
• Report daily production, machine utilisation, and quality metrics to management

Requirements

• 8–14 years in sheet metal / precision metal fabrication
• Strong knowledge of laser cutting, CNC press brakes, TIG/MIG welding
• Familiarity with GD&T, APQP, ISO 9001
• Experience managing large floor teams (30+ people)
• Telugu fluency required; Hindi/English working knowledge
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
