# **Job Description: Consultant / Resident Physiotherapist**

**Organization:** Happy Old Age Home Organisation

**Location:** Trimulgherry (Tirumalagiri), Secunderabad

**Work Timings:** 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

**Compensation:** ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)

### **About the Role**

Happy Old Age Home Organisation is seeking a compassionate, skilled Physiotherapist dedicated to geriatric care. The primary objective is to maintain and improve the mobility, functional independence, and overall physical well-being of elderly residents across our facility.

### **Key Responsibilities**

* **Assessment & Evaluation:** Conduct comprehensive physical and functional mobility assessments for new and existing residents.

* **Therapy & Rehabilitation:** Design and implement personalized physiotherapy regimens focusing on:

* Geriatric pain management (arthritis, back pain, joint stiffness).

* Post-stroke and neurological rehabilitation.

* Post-fracture/post-surgery recovery and gait training.

* Fall prevention and balance enhancement.

* **Routine Daily Sessions:** Deliver planned therapy sessions between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

* **Passive & Active Exercises:** Assist bedridden or partially immobile residents with passive range-of-motion exercises, chest physiotherapy, and posture correction.

* **Documentation & Progress Tracking:** Maintain daily logs of therapy administered and track recovery/maintenance milestones for each resident.

* **Caregiver Training:** Train internal caregiving staff on safe handling, transferring techniques, and positioning for bed-bound residents.

* **Resident Support:** For candidates opting for the residential (stay-in) facility, attend to unexpected physical emergencies or immediate positioning needs on-call.

### **Requirements & Qualifications**

* **Education:** Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or recognized Diploma/Certificate in Physiotherapy. Valid practitioner registration/certification is required.

* **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of clinical experience. Prior exposure to geriatric, orthopedic, or neurological rehabilitation is strongly preferred.

* **Skills & Attributes:**

* Strong patience, empathy, and communication skills suitable for working with the elderly.

* Ability to handle assistive mobility equipment (walkers, wheel chairs, parallel bars, TENS, ultrasound units).

* Fluency in Telugu and Hindi is an advantage.

### **Work Arrangements & Perks**

* **Day-Scholars:** Standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
