Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Machine Maintenance Engineer (Electrical focus) to keep our sheet metal fabrication floor running at full uptime. You will own preventive and breakdown maintenance — with particular emphasis on electrical systems, earthing, and parameter checks — across laser cutting, press brakes, welding, and powder coating equipment, ensuring machines run accurately and stay production-ready at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for CNC laser cutters, press brakes, compressors, powder coat oven/booth, and welding equipment
• Conduct regular earthing checks and earth resistance testing across all machines and panels; ensure earth pit integrity and rectify faults promptly
• Perform routine electrical parameter checks — voltage, current, insulation resistance, phase balance — and log readings to catch abnormalities before they cause breakdowns
• Diagnose and fix breakdowns — with primary focus on electrical faults (control panels, wiring, sensors, drives, motors, earthing faults) — as well as mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, with minimum downtime
• Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems, VFDs, servo drives, and CNC controllers; work with electrical/control drawings to isolate faults quickly
• Maintain spares inventory for critical/high-failure electrical and mechanical components (contactors, relays, sensors, drives, bearings, seals, earthing hardware) and flag reorder points
• Monitor machine-level factors affecting quality — press brake calibration, laser focus/power, oven temperature uniformity — many of which trace back to electrical/control settings
• Coordinate with OEM/vendor teams for warranty repairs and specialised electrical/PLC servicing
• Maintain machine health logs, calibration records, electrical parameter logs, earthing test records, and maintenance SOPs
• Train operators on basic machine care and safe electrical practices to reduce avoidable breakdowns
• Report machine uptime, downtime causes (with fault category — electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic), and maintenance status to management

Requirements

• ITI in Electrical (mandatory); diploma/ITI in Electronics or Mechatronics also considered
• 3–6 years in machine maintenance within sheet metal / precision metal fabrication, with hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC laser cutting machines and CNC press brakes, particularly their electrical/control systems
• Practical experience with earthing systems, earth resistance testing, and routine electrical parameter checks (voltage, current, insulation resistance)
• Solid working knowledge of PLC-based control systems (fault-finding, I/O checks, basic parameter edits); hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge required
• Ability to read electrical panel wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Familiarity with powder coating line equipment (oven controls, booth electricals) is a plus
• Telugu fluency required; Hindi/English working knowledge
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets for logs and reporting
