Design Engineer

Designation - Solidworks Designer/Design Engineer 

Responsibility

Prepare and detail various engineering drawings, including Detail Manufacturing Drawings, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Site Layouts, Piping Layouts, P&ID Diagrams, and Customer-Based Conceptual Drawings.

Develop new product concepts and prepare detailed drawings as per product development requirements.

Modify and rectify design issues or faulty designs as per instructions from the HOD – Design and communicate changes to the concerned departments.

Release approved detailed drawings and coordinate with Production and Quality Control (QC) departments for smooth execution.

Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) as per product and project requirements.

Incorporate customer comments and revisions through proper Change Notes during the drawing approval stage and communicate necessary actions to the concerned departments.

Verify all required technical documents and drawings before submitting them to clients for approval.

Coordinate with subordinates and team members to ensure work is completed systematically and within defined timelines.

Maintain and update ISO-related design and engineering documentation.

Visit customer sites whenever required for technical discussions, site measurements, inspections, and design-related requirements.

Standardize product components and maintain proper records and documentation for standardized components.

Coordinate with Design, Production, QC, Project, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Perform any additional design and engineering responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department or GM – Design & Project.

Report directly to the Manager – Design and GM – Design & Project.

Skills

Good command grip in AUTOCAD & 3D (Solid Works software)

Able to draw/understand the vessels drawing with detail BOQ as per CE certification and U-stamp requirements.

Able to draw/understand the Heat Exchanger drawing with detail BOQ.

Knowledge of Machining Tolerances.

Able to understand and knowledge of assembly part.

Able to understand P & I Diagram, G.A. Drawing, Process Flow Chart
