CL₂ Operator (Chlorine Operator)

Key Responsibilities:

·       Ensure safe handling, storage, and transfer of chlorine gas (CL₂).

·       Carry out controlled dosing of chlorine gas into the reactor as per SOP.

·       Monitor pressure, temperature, and flow during the chlorination process.

·       Take immediate emergency action in case of gas leakage and inform seniors.

·       Operate the scrubber system efficiently and maintain its performance.

·       Safely connect and disconnect chlorine cylinders/tonners.

·       Properly use all safety equipment (SCBA, PPE).

·       Record daily operational data in logbooks/registers.

·       Follow SOP, HAZOP, and all safety guidelines.

Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions in the plant

Required Skills:

·       Basic knowledge of chlorine gas handling

·       Emergency response (gas leak handling)

·       Understanding of pressure and flow systems

Ability to work in shifts and in a team
