Hardware & PCB Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly passionate and hands-on Senior Hardware Design Engineer with strong fundamentals in electronics and practical experience in designing robust, reliable, and fail-safe hardware systems. The ideal candidate should have deep exposure to real-world electrical challenges such as ESD protection, grounding issues, noise handling, and industrial communication circuits.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate analog and digital hardware circuits for embedded and IoT systems.
• Design bug-free IoT devices with strong emphasis on reliability and field performance.
• Work on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-based peripherals and ensure stable connectivity performance.
• Select and implement appropriate ESD protection components (TVS diodes, ESD diodes).
• Analyze and mitigate ESD-related failures, including identifying root causes.
• Develop and optimize grounding strategies, including handling ground bounce, noise coupling, and ground loop issues.
• Design and troubleshoot RS-485 communication circuits for industrial environments.
• Handle inductive load challenges (relays, solenoids, motors), including suppression of back EMF and switching noise.
• Design noise-free power systems, including voltage regulators and LC filters.
• Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards in PCB and system design.
• Implement ground loop isolation techniques for improved signal integrity.
• Improve circuit reliability through proper component selection, derating, and thermal design.
• Implement fail-proof system architectures with protection and fault-handling mechanisms.
• Perform hardware debugging, testing, and validation using lab equipment.
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams for product development.
• Prepare schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in hardware design for IoT and embedded systems.
• Experience working with:
• STM32 microcontrollers
• ESP32-WROOM modules
• 32-bit PIC microcontrollers
• Strong understanding of:
• ESD protection and failure analysis
• Grounding, shielding, and noise reduction
• RS-485 and industrial communication
• Inductive load handling
• Voltage regulators and LC filter design
• EMI/EMC compliance techniques
• Ground loop isolation methods
• Experience in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth hardware integration.
• Proficiency in PCB design best practices for signal integrity and noise immunity.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electronics & Communication or related field.
• Experience in industrial electronics / automation systems.
• Exposure to high-volume product design and manufacturing.
