Job Description
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
Cable Jointing & Splicing: Fusion Splicer machine ka use karke cut hui ya naye fiber optic glass cores ko aapas mein alignment ke saath jodna.
Fiber Preparation: Cable ki outer sheath ko stripped karna, glass fiber ko cleaver se clean cut karna aur alcohol pads se safai karna.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Jab outdoor fiber cable cut jati hai (road work ya weatherproof issue ki wajah se), toh OTDR ya VFL Light Pen ka use karke breakage location dhundna aur use repair karna.
Joint Closure & Box Setting: Outdoor Fiber Joint Enclosure (FDMS / JC Box) mein spliced cables को proper routing ke saath pack karna taaki pani ya dhool andar na jaye.
FTTH Installation Support: Customer level par Splitter Box (FAT Box) se subscriber ke ghar tak drop cable connect aur splice karna.
Signal Loss Testing: OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) aur Power Meter se dB loss check karna taaki signal strength optimum rahe.
Candidate Selection Tips:
Interview ke waqt candidate se puche ki unhe Fusion Machine, Cleaver, aur OTDR meter chalana aata hai ya nahi, aur outdoor emergency cuts/night shift handle karne ka experience hai ya nahi.
