Microcontroller Programmer – Microchip PIC / Embedded C

ThinkX Technology is looking for a skilled Microcontroller Programmer & PCB Design Engineer to develop embedded electronic products, wireless communication systems and IoT devices.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in Microchip PIC microcontroller programming, Embedded C, PCB schematic and layout design, hardware debugging, and prototype testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and program Microchip PIC microcontrollers using Embedded C.
• Work with MPLAB X IDE, XC8 and XC16 compilers.
• Design electronic circuits, schematics and PCB layouts.
• Prepare BOMs, Gerber files and manufacturing documentation.
• Interface sensors, displays, relays, GSM modules, RF modules and LoRa modules.
• Implement communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C and RS485.
• Test and debug electronic circuits, PCBs and firmware.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes and other electronic testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues during prototype development.
• Support product testing, improvements and production.
• Required SkillsHands-on experience with Microchip PIC microcontrollers.
• Good knowledge of Embedded C programming.
• Experience with MPLAB X IDE and relevant Microchip development tools.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB layout.
• Understanding of digital electronics, analog circuits and communication protocols.
• Ability to independently debug hardware and firmware.
• Practical experience in electronic product development.
• Preferred SkillsExperience with PIC16, PIC18 or dsPIC microcontrollers.
• PCB design experience using Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle or similar tools.
• Knowledge of GSM, RF, LoRa and IoT systems.
• Experience with battery-operated electronic products.
• EligibilityDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience preferred.
• Candidates must be willing to work full-time from our Rajkot office.
