Civil Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Inspection & Data Collection (50-50% Field Work)

Conduct daily site visits for assigned valuation cases across residential, commercial, retail, industrial, and agricultural properties

• Perform detailed physical inspections — measure plot/built-up area, verify boundaries, assess construction quality, structural condition, and finishing standards
• Capture high-resolution photographs of property exteriors, interiors, surroundings, access roads, landmarks, and any encroachments/violations
• Verify on-ground reality against property documents (sale deeds, 7/12 utara, 8A, NA orders, building plans, occupancy certificates, property tax receipts)
• Collect neighborhood data — prevailing market rates, recent sale transactions, rental trends, infrastructure development, connectivity, and amenities
• Coordinate with property owners, tenants, society managers, brokers, and local revenue officials for information gathering
• Identify and document encroachments, unauthorized constructions, zoning violations, and title discrepancies
• Report Preparation & Office Work (50%)Prepare site inspection reports with measurements, photographs, observations, and location maps within defined timelines (typically 24-48 hours post-visit)
• Assist senior valuers in drafting valuation reports using Sales Comparison, Income Capitalization, and Cost Approaches
• Compile comparable evidence sheets with analyzed transaction data, adjustment grids, and value conclusions
• Maintain digital case files — organize photographs, documents, measurement sketches, and correspondence systematically
• Update valuation database/software with property details, inspection findings, and market data
• Perform quality checks on completed inspection reports before submission to senior valuers
• Regulatory & Compliance : Ensure all inspections comply with firm's internal SOPs
• Adhere to confidentiality protocols for client data and valuation assignments

Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (3-year after 10th) from a recognized Gujarat/Indian technical board
• Own two-wheeler (motorcycle/scooter) with valid driving license, RC, and insurance — essential for daily site visits
• Willingness for local travel (intra-city and inter-district within Gujarat)
• Basic computer literacy — MS Office (Excel for measurements/calculations, Word for reports, PowerPoint for presentations)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings, revenue maps (Tipan), and land records
• Gujarati fluency (read/write/speak); working knowledge of English for report writing

Preferred (Advantageous): 0-2 years experience in property valuation, site engineering, quantity surveying, or land survey
