Job Description

An IndiaMART Sales Team Leader is a mid-level management role responsible for driving B2B subscription sales, managing on-ground sales teams, and meeting revenue targets. Key duties include training field executives, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring prompt customer servicing. [1, 2, 3]

Key responsibilities and requirements include:



Core Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a team of 4-6 field sales executives. [1]
  • Performance Tracking: Conduct daily performance reviews, monitor KPIs (calls, meetings, conversions), and execute training to bridge performance gaps. [1, 2, 3]
  • Sales Targets: Develop effective strategies to acquire, retain, and upsell digital marketing/subscription packages to SMEs and corporate clients. [1, 2]
  • Client Engagement: Support the team in important client meetings, deliver high-level product demonstrations, and ensure time-bound closures. [1, 2]
  • Servicing & Retention: Ensure smooth client onboarding, assist in catalog mapping, and ensure the prompt resolution of client complaints. [1, 2]
  • Reporting: Maintain and analyze daily sales data, track market trends, and report performance to the Branch/Regional Manager. [1, 2]



Typical Requirements & Skills

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven sales experience, with at least 1-2 years in a team-handling capacity (preferably in B2B or field sales).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Essential Assets: A valid driver's license, two-wheeler, and an Android smartphone for field operations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, team motivation, and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). [1, 2, 3]
