Turf Manager

1. Job Summary

The Turf Manager will be responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the turf facility, ensuring smooth functioning, excellent customer service, proper maintenance, and maximum booking utilization. The candidate will manage staff, handle customer bookings, monitor payments, and ensure the turf is maintained in excellent condition.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Turf Operations & Management

• Manage day-to-day turf operations and ensure smooth functioning.
• Handle turf bookings, reservations, cancellations, and scheduling.
• Ensure the turf is ready and available for customers as per booking timings.
• Monitor daily operations and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with facility rules.

B. Customer Service

• Handle customer inquiries, calls, and walk-in bookings.
• Provide professional assistance to customers and resolve complaints.
• Build positive relationships with regular customers and sports teams.
• Encourage repeat bookings and customer referrals.

C. Staff Management

• Supervise ground staff, housekeeping, security, and other support staff.
• Assign duties and monitor staff attendance and performance.
• Ensure staff follow operational procedures and customer service standards.

D. Maintenance & Safety

• Inspect the turf regularly and ensure proper maintenance of the playing surface.
• Maintain cleanliness of the turf, washrooms, seating areas, and surrounding premises.
• Monitor floodlights, nets, equipment, and other facilities.
• Report repair requirements and coordinate maintenance work.
• Ensure safety measures are followed and first-aid arrangements are available.

E. Bookings, Payments & Reporting

• Maintain daily booking records and customer databases.
• Track payments, pending dues, expenses, and daily revenue.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Identify opportunities to increase bookings and improve revenue.

F. Marketing & Business Development

• Promote turf bookings through WhatsApp, social media, and local networks.
• Develop relationships with schools, colleges, corporate groups, and sports clubs.
• Plan tournaments, leagues, and sports events to increase business.
• Explore packages, memberships, and promotional offers to attract customers.
• 3. Skills & QualificationsMinimum 1–3 years of experience in operations, facility management, sports management, or a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, billing, and booking management.
• Ability to manage staff and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Knowledge of sports turf maintenance and booking platforms is an advantage.
• Flexible to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
