POSITION SUMMARY

The Structural CAD Engineer supports the Structural Engineering team by producing high-quality structural models and drawings based on inputs provided by Structural and Senior Structural Engineers. The role is focused on accurate drafting, detailed modeling, and documentation quality for modular buildings and structural systems.

This position does not include responsibility for structural design calculations or technical approval of engineering solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare structural layouts, shop drawings, connection details, and assembly drawings
• Develop and maintain structural models and drawings using Tekla Structures, Revit, Inventor and AutoCAD
• Apply engineer markups, redlines, and revisions accurately and in a timely manner
• Support preparation of workshop and fabrication documentation for structural components
• Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical CAD engineers to ensure multi-disciplinary drawing consistency
• Supports Projects for Global and/or India region and aligns according to timelines.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, formatting, and compliance with internal drafting standards
• Ensure proper drawing version control, revision history, and file organization
• Support documentation preparation according to the defined Document List (DLIST)
• Assist Structural Engineers during design development, production, and issue resolution phases

AUTHORITIES

• Update and revise structural CAD drawings based on approved engineering inputs
• Implement corrections and changes following engineering review
• Escalate design or drawing inconsistencies to Structural Engineers for resolution

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education – B.E/Btech OR ME/Mtech – Civil/Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in Structural CAD or drafting roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Inventor & Revit is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications
• High level of precision, attention to detail, and drafting accuracy
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
