Senior Structural Design Engineer- Civil

* Position requires thorough knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques.

* Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.

* Devise new approaches to problems and prepare and/or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes.

* Develop formats for documenting the engineering process carried out by team members.n.

* Develop probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.

* May direct and supervise other Designer’s/Drafter’s activities.

*Coordinate work with other disciplines such as Architectural, MEP, etc.

*Structural Analysis:-

Calculate dead, live, wind, and seismic loads to evaluate the strength and stability of structural elements (beams, columns, foundations).

Design & Modeling:-

Create detailed blueprints, 3D models, and construction drawings using software like AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or ETABS.

Material Selection:-

Determine the most cost-effective and structurally sound materials (e.g., concrete, steel, timber).

Code Compliance: Ensure all designs align with local building codes, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with architects, project managers, and geotechnical engineers to integrate design requirements.

Site Support & Inspection: Review construction plans, conduct site visits, and provide technical guidance to contractors to ensure structural integrity.
