Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management in financial planning and decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

• Oversee statutory compliances including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and other regulatory filings.

• Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management decision-making.

• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.

• Assist in cash flow management and working capital planning.

• Implement and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP system / Tally usage.

• Supervise and guide junior accountants and accounts assistants.

• 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing/trading industry.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS) and tax laws.

• Proficiency in Tally ERP, SAP, or other accounting software.

• Advanced MS Excel and financial reporting skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
