Security Guard Job Description

A Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by monitoring premises, controlling access, and responding to security incidents. They help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas regularly
• Control entry and exit of visitors, staff, and vehicles
• Check identification and maintain visitor records
• Observe and report suspicious activities or incidents
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and security breaches
• Ensure safety rules and company policies are followed
• Prepare daily security reports and logs

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
• Physical fitness and alertness
• Basic report-writing skills

Qualification: High school education preferred; previous security experience and relevant security training/certification are an advantage.
