Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure excellent customer service, manage staff, control costs, and maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and overall guest experience. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, hospitality experience, and the ability to drive sales and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and catering if applicable.
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, service, cashier, and delivery teams.
- Maintain restaurant standards for cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and presentation.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
Customer Service
- Ensure guests receive excellent service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain a welcoming and positive restaurant atmosphere.
- Collect customer feedback and implement service improvements.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate restaurant staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage attendance.
- Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.
- Ensure staff follow company policies, grooming standards, and service guidelines.
Sales & Revenue
- Drive restaurant sales through upselling, promotions, and customer engagement.
- Monitor daily sales reports and revenue targets.
- Support marketing activities, offers, events, and customer loyalty programs.
- Identify opportunities to increase repeat customers and average order value.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers/vendors.
- Control food wastage, pilferage, and operational expenses.
- Check inventory, purchases, and consumption reports.
- Ensure proper storage of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Manage cash handling, billing, and daily closing reports.
- Track expenses, staff costs, and profit margins.
- Prepare operational reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and food authority requirements.
- Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service, and team management.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle pressure during busy service hours.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory control, and reporting.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Experience3 to 5 years of experience in restaurant, café, cloud kitchen, QSR, or hospitality operations preferred.
