Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor / Production In-Charge to oversee the complete day-to-day production activities at Perfect Auto Plast. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of plastic injection moulding, process parameters, troubleshooting, manpower management and preventive maintenance.

The person will be responsible not only for achieving production targets but also for ensuring that machines, moulds, processes and manpower are operating efficiently.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production as per customer requirements and production targets.
• Take complete responsibility for the production floor and day-to-day manufacturing activities.
• Set, verify and optimize machine/process parameters to achieve required productivity and quality.
• Have practical knowledge of injection moulding machine settings, including temperature, pressure, speed, injection time, holding parameters, cooling time, cycle time, etc.
• Troubleshoot machine/process-related issues and take first-level corrective action before escalating to maintenance.
• Identify abnormal machine behaviour such as hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, heating, temperature-control or mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns, preventive maintenance and machine health.
• Regularly inspect machines and identify requirements for maintenance, servicing, replacement of components and improvement.
• Ensure moulds, dies, fixtures, tools and production equipment are properly maintained and available for production.
• Monitor cycle times, machine utilization, production efficiency, rejection, rework and material wastage.
• Analyze production losses and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
• Ensure operators follow approved machine settings, work instructions, SOPs and process parameters.
• Train and guide operators on machine operation, process requirements and basic troubleshooting.
• Allocate manpower effectively according to production requirements and machine loading.
• Coordinate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and Management to resolve production-related issues.
• Ensure proper start-up, changeover and shutdown procedures are followed.
• Maintain production records, machine records, downtime records, rejection reports and other required documentation.
• Ensure proper 5S, safety, housekeeping and discipline on the shop floor.
• Take immediate decisions during production problems and minimize downtime.
• Monitor OEE / machine efficiency / productivity and continuously identify improvement opportunities.
• Support management in process improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Ensure production is completed within the required quality, quantity and delivery timelines.

Technical Knowledge RequiredThe candidate should have practical, hands-on knowledge of:

• Injection moulding machines and machine settings
• Injection moulding process troubleshooting
• Temperature controllers, heaters, hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Machine cycle optimization
• Mould/die setting and basic mould troubleshooting
• Preventive maintenance requirements
• Machine breakdown identification
• Process parameter control
• Rejection and defect analysis
• Basic understanding of PLC/HMI machine controls
• Reading and following process parameter sheets and SOPs
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

QualificationDiploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Plastics.

Experience 3–10 years of relevant experience in:

• Plastic injection moulding
• Automotive plastic components
• Plastic component manufacturing
• Production and shop-floor management

Experience in a small or medium-sized manufacturing company, where the candidate has personally handled machines, operators, troubleshooting and production targets, will be highly preferred.

The candidate must be technically strong and hands-on, with the ability to independently understand machine settings, identify machine/process problems, troubleshoot basic issues and ensure optimum machine performance. This is not a purely manpower-supervision role.
