PLC & Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC & Automation Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in industrial automation. The candidate will be responsible for PLC programming, servo drive configuration, HMI development, and system commissioning across various industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PLC Programming

• Develop, test, and implement PLC programs using platforms such as: Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7), Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000), Delta PLC
• Develop logic using Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Structured Text (ST), etc.
• Modify, troubleshoot, and debug existing PLC programs.
• Configure I/O modules, communication protocols, and safety systems.
• Optimize cycle times and enhance system efficiency.

2. Servo Drive Programming

• Configure and program servo drives for precise motion control applications.
• Commission and tune servo motors (position, speed, and torque control).
• Implement multi-axis synchronization and interpolation.

3. HMI Development

• Develop and configure HMI screens using: Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell FactoryTalk
• Integrate HMI systems with PLC platforms.
• Ensure proper communication through Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and Profinet protocols.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (IEC 61131-3).
• Expertise in servo tuning and motion control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols.
• Understanding of electrical control panels and system wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel for site commissioning and support activities.
