Electrician Job Description

An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. They ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
• Test electrical systems and components using appropriate tools
• Respond to electrical emergencies and service requests

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments

Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification; relevant work experience preferred.
