Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator – Wood Works with a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating CNC woodworking machines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in machine setup, operation, and quality inspection while ensuring precision, productivity, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC woodworking machines for cutting, routing, drilling, engraving, and profiling of wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, and similar materials.
• Set up CNC machines as per production drawings and job specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and production work orders.
• Load materials, select appropriate tools, and monitor machine performance during production.
• Perform tool changes, machine calibration, and minor troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Optimize material usage to minimize wastage.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience operating CNC woodworking machines (Router, Panel Saw, Nesting CNC, or similar equipment).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and production specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC machine setup, tooling, and basic machine maintenance.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-Code) is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Wood Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC woodworking machines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in furniture manufacturing, modular furniture, cabinetry, or interior fit-out industries.
• Knowledge of different wood materials such as MDF, plywood, particle board, solid wood, and laminates.
• Ability to work in shifts, if required.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and commitment to quality and production timelines.
