Assistant Store Incharge

Job Purpose : The Assistant Store Incharge will support the Store Incharge in managing daily warehouse operations, tracking raw materials (like timber, plywood, hardware, and fabrics), and ensuring the seamless dispatch of finished furniture pieces. The ideal candidate will maintain high inventory accuracy, organize the storage layout for optimal space utilization, and supervise the loading/unloading teams to keep production running without delays.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Stock Management:

• Oversee the receipt, inspection, and logging of incoming raw materials (wood, veneer, foam, metal frames) and hardware.
• Maintain accurate electronic stock records (ERP/WMS) and physical ledger updates.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification to minimize variance.
• Material Issuance & Production Support:

• Issue raw materials and components to the production floor strictly against authorized Material Requisition Notes (MRN).
• Ensure "First In, First Out" (FIFO) or "First Expired, First Out" (FEFO) practices are followed, especially for materials with shelf lives like adhesives, paints, and polishes.
• Warehouse Organization & Safety:
• 
  
• Optimize storage space for heavy, bulky furniture components and delicate finished goods to prevent damage.
• Enforce strict health, safety, and housekeeping (5S) standards within the store premises.
• Ensure proper labeling, zoning, and categorization of all inventory items.
• Dispatch & Logistics Coordination:
• 
  
• Assist in preparing finished goods for transit, ensuring items are adequately packed/wrapped to avoid scratches or structural damage.
• Verify dispatch documents, including delivery challans, invoices, and packing lists.
• Coordinate with logistics partners and supervise the safe loading of furniture onto delivery vehicles.
• Team Supervision & Administration:
• 
  
• Supervise store helpers, loaders, and forklift operators to ensure high productivity.
• Highlight slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock to the Store Incharge for timely action.
