Role Objective

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of revenue recognition in line with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS 115 / IFRS 15).

Act as an independent validation layer over revenue, cost, and margin for key projects/contracts.

Strengthen financial governance and control framework across the Order-to-Cash lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

Perform independent review of revenue recognition for various contract types and its classification.

Review contractual arrangements to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment.

Assess compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS 115 / IFRS 15).

Perform periodic analytics on revenue, margins, and cost trends.

Support implementation and monitoring of controls around revenue recognition and cost tracking.

Ensure documentation and audit trail for key judgments and approvals.

Assist in audit queries related to revenue

Ensure timely submission of data and reconciliations.

Support preparation of documentation for financial reporting disclosures.

Skills & Competencies

Technical

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Ind AS 115 / IFRS 15
    • Revenue accounting concepts
    • Financial analysis
  • Good understanding of contract structures in IT/Services industry

Functional

  • Analytical mindset – ability to identify trends and anomalies
  • Strong Excel / data handling skills
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP / Oracle etc.)

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Qualified CA (mandatory)
  • 2–6 years post-qualification experience (adjust as needed)
  • Experience in:
    • Revenue accounting / FP&A / audit

IT / services industry preferred
