Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Strategic Planning & Revenue GrowthDevelop and implement a comprehensive annual business plan for the state to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Analyze state-wide market potential, segmenting by city tiers (Tier 1, 2, and 3) to prioritize resources.
  • Manage the state sales budget
  • 2. Team Leadership & Performance ManagementLead, mentor, and track the performance of a team of Sales Officers (SOs) and Territory Managers.
  • Conduct regular joint field visits with the team to provide on-ground coaching and ensure effective territory coverage.
  • Set clear KPIs for the team, including strike rates, average order values, and new outlet openings.
  • Ensure PJP adherence and orders from retail outlets
  • 3. Distribution & Channel ExcellenceAppoint, manage, and evaluate the performance of district-level distributors
  • Ensure opening stock , sales and closing stock as per norms.
  • Oversee the expansion of the retail footprint across Multi-Brand Outlets
  • 4. Merchandising & Brand VisibilityCoordinate with the Marketing team to execute state-specific trade marketing initiatives and seasonal campaigns.
  • Ensure premium brand visibility through effective POSM (Point of Sale Material) deployment across key counters.
  • 5. Financial & Operational ControlMonitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections from distributors to maintain a healthy credit cycle.
  • Review sales forecasts weekly and coordinate with the supply chain/manufacturing units for timely stock replenishment.
  • Analyze competitor pricing, schemes, and product launches within the state to provide strategic counter-measures.
  • Ability to work out sales deals that will accomplish budgeted margins and correspond to the company’s sales policies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: MBA in Sales & Marketing or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 6–10 years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in the footwear industry. 
  • Skills: ERP/CRM proficiency, and strong leadership capabilities.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90% of the time) across the state.
