Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Load programs, position fixtures, clamp raw materials, and set tool/work offsets to ensure accuracy.
- Operation & Monitoring: Run the VMC machine, adjust feed/speed rates, and monitor the cutting process to prevent tool wear or breakage.
- Quality Control: Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet blueprint tolerances.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning) and troubleshoot minor operational or programming errors.
- Documentation: Keep accurate logs of approved parts, defective units, and machine run times
