Job Description
- Procurement & PurchasingProcure construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks, electrical, plumbing, hardware, and finishing materials.
- Source new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely approval and issuance.
- Track purchase orders until successful delivery.
- Vendor ManagementDevelop and maintain an approved vendor database.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery performance, and service.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.
- Resolve supplier-related issues regarding delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Inventory CoordinationCoordinate with stores and site engineers regarding material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
- Ensure timely replenishment of critical construction materials.
