Branch Manager - Cooperative Bank

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage overall day-to-day operations of the cooperative bank branch.
• Supervise branch staff and allocate daily responsibilities.
• Ensure smooth functioning of cash, deposits, withdrawals, account opening, and other banking operations.
• Monitor loan processing, disbursement, recovery, and overdue accounts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, members, depositors, and borrowers.
• Monitor branch targets for deposits, advances, loan recovery, and other banking products.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, cooperative banking regulations, KYC/AML requirements, and internal policies.
• Verify and authorize banking transactions and official documents within delegated powers.
• Monitor branch cash balance, records, registers, and reconciliation.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate with Head Office and other departments regarding branch activities.
• Prepare and review MIS reports and branch performance reports.
• Support audits and ensure timely compliance with audit observations.
• Identify business opportunities and strengthen the branch's customer base.
• Ensure proper recovery follow-up and maintain the quality of the loan portfolio.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• Minimum 3- 5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in a cooperative bank.
• Previous experience in branch operations or supervisory/managerial role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, loans, recovery, KYC, and compliance.
• Good leadership, communication, customer relationship, and decision-making skills.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with banking software/MIS.
• Knowledge of Marathi, Hindi and English preferred.
