Job Description

Head Chef – Job Description (Restaurant)


Position: Dosa Master / Head Chef / South Indian Tiffin

Department: Kitchen Operations

Reports To: Restaurant Owner / General Manager


Key Responsibilities


Kitchen Operations

  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily kitchen activities.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served according to restaurant steam Management
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of 4-5 kitchen helpers provided by the restaurant.
  • Train kitchen staff on food preparation, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign duties.

  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Develop and update menu items as required.
  • Monitor food quality and freshness.


  • Working Hours



  • 10 hours per day
  • Split shift
  • Weekly off as per company policy.
  • Availability on weekends and public holidays as required by restaurant operations.
