Mechanical Engineer

• Job ResponsibilitiesCosting & Quotation: Prepare product costing, process costing, and quotations based on customer drawings and requirements.
• Feasibility Study: Evaluate technical and manufacturing feasibility of new components, including material, tooling, machines, and processes.
• Tool Development: Coordinate with tool designers, tool rooms, and vendors for development of press tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
• Project Tracking: Monitor development timelines, maintain project trackers, and coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely completion.
• Sample Development: Coordinate prototype manufacturing, tool trials, sample inspection, and necessary corrections.
• PPAP Documentation: Coordinate preparation and submission of PPAP documents, ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled.
• Production Handover: Ensure successful handover of approved products to regular production after PPAP completion.
• Required SkillsBasic understanding of mechanical engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, stamping, welding, and tooling will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and costing preferred.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility for projects.

Role ObjectiveTo manage new product development activities from initial customer enquiry, costing, and feasibility through tool development, sample approval, PPAP completion, and final handover to production.
